Our Editorial Standards

Nutriment Expert Meet is committed to publishing accurate, evidence-based nutrition information. Our editorial standards ensure every article meets rigorous quality, fact-checking, and transparency requirements.

Our Publishing Principles

These five principles guide everything we publish. They reflect our commitment to you as a reader and to the integrity of nutrition science.

Accuracy First

Every claim is verified against peer-reviewed research and current scientific consensus. We cite our sources and update articles when new evidence emerges.

Evidence-Based

We prioritize research over opinion. Articles reference published studies, expert consensus, and established nutrition frameworks—never personal anecdotes alone.

Full Transparency

We disclose potential conflicts of interest, explain our methodology, and make author qualifications visible. You deserve to know who wrote what and why.

Inclusive Perspective

We recognize that nutrition needs vary by individual, culture, and circumstance. Our content reflects diverse backgrounds and real-world contexts, not one-size-fits-all advice.

Living Documents

We update articles as science evolves. When research shifts, we revise our guidance and mark changes clearly so you always have current information.

Our Fact-Checking Process

1

Research & Sourcing

Authors compile peer-reviewed studies, expert resources, and established guidelines. We prioritize recent research while acknowledging foundational studies that shaped current understanding.

2

Editorial Review

A second editor reviews the draft for accuracy, clarity, tone, and alignment with our standards. This independent check catches errors and ensures fair representation of complex topics.

3

Source Verification

We verify citations are accurate, that studies are genuine, and that quotes are in proper context. Links to research are checked for access and accuracy.

4

Final Approval & Publication

A senior editor approves the article for publication. We record the publication date and author names. The article then enters our ongoing monitoring system for future updates.

What We Verify

  • Scientific accuracy: Do claims match the evidence? Are nuances and limitations acknowledged?
  • Source quality: Are sources peer-reviewed, reputable, or expert-led? Are opinions labeled as such?
  • Conflicts of interest: Does the author or source have undisclosed financial stakes in the topic?
  • Relevance to readers: Is the information practical and fair? Does it overstate or understate risks and benefits?
  • Clarity: Can a general reader understand the key points without specialist training?
  • Dates & updates: Is information current? Have recent developments changed the picture?

Editorial Leadership

Our team brings diverse expertise in nutrition science, health communication, and editorial integrity. Every editor and contributor meets our qualification standards and follows our principles.

Corrections & Updates Policy

Reporting an Error

🌿 Did you know?

We take errors seriously and appreciate readers who spot them. If you find factual inaccuracy, misquoted research, or outdated information, please let us know.

How to Report

Email your report to [email protected] with:

  • The article title and URL
  • The specific claim you believe is incorrect
  • Evidence or source supporting the correction
  • Your name and contact information (optional but helpful)

Our team will investigate within 5 business days. You'll receive confirmation of receipt and an estimated timeline for review.

How We Handle Corrections

Minor Corrections (Spelling, Typos, Formatting)

We correct silently without notation. The article is updated, and the publication date remains unchanged. No correction note is added.

Factual Corrections (Claims, Data, Citations)

We add a Correction note at the top or end of the article stating what was wrong, why, and when it was corrected. The article is updated, and we note the correction date.

Major Revisions (Significant Errors or Outdated Content)

If an article has substantial errors or science has shifted significantly, we rewrite it. A note at the top explains the revision date and what changed. The original publication date is kept for reference.

Retraction (Severe Errors or Misleading Content)

In rare cases where an article is fundamentally flawed or misleading, we unpublish it entirely. A retraction notice remains, explaining why. This happens only when content cannot be adequately corrected.

Transparency & Attribution

We credit readers who report corrections (with permission). This acknowledges community effort to maintain accuracy. Readers can see our correction history in the article metadata.
